Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply protective coatings to machine surfaces, manufactured products, and working areas using a spray gun
  • Load and move materials to work areas, fill containers with paint and thinners
  • Clean and prepare surfaces to be painted with solvent, sandpaper, and scraper
  • Clean grease and dirt from products using lacquer thinner, soap, and water, and a phosphatizing machine
  • Apply masking tape over areas and parts not to be coated
  • Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain a smooth surface
  • Keep paint area and equipment clean
  • Sand primer/putty fillers with air sanders (blasting) to obtain a smooth finish

Requirements:

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Comfortable with moving over rough/uneven ground
  • Ability to climb and work at heights, including narrow spaces 6+ feet
  • Lift, pull, and push 50+ pounds
  • Able to travel locally as needed
  • Own reliable transportation
