Key Responsibilities:
- Apply protective coatings to machine surfaces, manufactured products, and working areas using a spray gun
- Load and move materials to work areas, fill containers with paint and thinners
- Clean and prepare surfaces to be painted with solvent, sandpaper, and scraper
- Clean grease and dirt from products using lacquer thinner, soap, and water, and a phosphatizing machine
- Apply masking tape over areas and parts not to be coated
- Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain a smooth surface
- Keep paint area and equipment clean
- Sand primer/putty fillers with air sanders (blasting) to obtain a smooth finish
Requirements:
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Comfortable with moving over rough/uneven ground
- Ability to climb and work at heights, including narrow spaces 6+ feet
- Lift, pull, and push 50+ pounds
- Able to travel locally as needed
- Own reliable transportation
