POSITION SUMMARY
As a vital member of our team, the Server Assistant at Lessing's is dedicated to delivering exceptional and professional service to every guest. Our goal is to ensure that each dining experience is not only enjoyable but also memorable.

The ideal candidate will maintain a polished appearance and possess the skills to foster loyalty among our patrons.

Server Assistants play a crucial role in achieving and surpassing venue objectives related to guest satisfaction, safety, sanitation, and cost management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Experience
Provide authentic and attentive service to ensure an outstanding dining experience for all guests
Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively address any concerns with prompt and courteous solutions
Serve water selections and ensure glasses are always filled during the dining experience.
Assist the service team in maintaining cleanliness at tables throughout the guest's visit
Support Food Runners in delivering orders when assistance is required
Facility Maintenance
Exhibit the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to uphold brand standards
Deliver the highest quality dining experience while maintaining the overall appearance of guest-facing areas
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation protocols. Ensure proper cleaning practices are followed, operate equipment safely, and complete necessary reports while providing outstanding service to create a positive impression on guests
Comply with all local, state, and federal health regulations.
Perform various side work duties to prepare dining areas for service.
Restock service supplies and notify management of low inventory levels.
Oversee cleanliness in all guest-facing areas, both inside and outside the venue
Set and reset dining tables efficiently as directed by team members and managers
Maintain cleanliness of floors, furniture, and guest-facing areas before, during, and after guest visits.
Ensure culinary service areas are kept clean
Restock service stations with silverware, linens, and glassware as needed.
Dispose of trash and soiled linens in a timely manner
Maintain cleanliness in guest and employee restrooms, checking every 15 minutes.
The Bottom Line
Adhere to all restaurant policies and company guidelines
Must follow scheduled shifts as assigned by the Restaurant Manager, attend all employee meetings, and contribute suggestions for improvement
Ensure all items are managed correctly, following FIFO regulations and maintaining proper temperature controls.
Always remain guest-facing to safeguard the restaurant from theft and accidents
