About the Role

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Google Inc., you will play a critical role in leading the development and implementation of our Arm-based server solutions. This position requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the CPU software architecture, design, development, and testing of Arm-based server platforms.
  • Drive innovation in Arm server architecture and contribute to the development of industry standards.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimization.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in Arm server technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
  • Experience in ARM, Servers, Operating Systems, Virtualization, and Cloud Computing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Hardware Architecture, Benchmarking, System On a Chip, Open Source Technologies, Technical Documentation, and presenting to Executive audiences.
