Job Title: Veterinary Technician - Emergency and Critical Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency and Critical Care Department at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering top-notch medical services.

Responsibilities:
  • Triage and provide care for patients presenting to and hospitalized in our Emergency and Critical Care Department
  • Partner with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
  • Complete patient daily treatments in a timely manner at key treatment times
  • Assess hospitalized patients, using intuitive skills as a Technician
  • Assist with flow and organization of Emergency and Critical Care department
  • Obtain and process laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates
  • Utilize different modalities of imaging for patient assessment
  • Execute, monitor, and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events
Requirements:
  • General nursing care and treatment of patients
  • Administering and monitoring anesthesia
  • Assisting the veterinarian in procedures
  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Client communication and education
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification or licensing as a veterinary technician
  • Several years of experience in a related job
