Position Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Regional Operations Manager to oversee our dynamic and rapidly expanding business. Operating under a decentralized model, this role emphasizes leadership and autonomy while necessitating effective communication across various functions and local operations.
In this pivotal position, reporting directly to the President of the APG Metro Region, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple manufacturing facilities within the designated region. Your responsibilities will encompass Safety, Quality, Productivity, Housekeeping, Preventative Maintenance, Regulatory Compliance, Talent Development, and the overall financial performance of your assigned manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee operations across multiple manufacturing sites to enhance Safety, Quality, Productivity, Housekeeping, and Preventative Maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Develop and mentor competent leadership teams at each location through employee development initiatives.
- Lead project teams to implement customer solutions and capital improvements.
- Research and apply manufacturing best practices to optimize operations.
- Translate annual and monthly objectives into actionable metrics for each facility, holding team members accountable for achieving results.
- Manage production planning to align demand with cost efficiency and service excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
- Coach and support Plant Managers to enhance efficiencies, control costs, and maximize operational capabilities.
- Collaborate with regional leaders to achieve collective operational goals.
- Ensure accurate reporting of production and inventory metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business management, finance, or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in Operations Management or related fields.
- Strong financial acumen with proven success in P&L management.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships over time.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
