Position Title: Technical Support Specialist I - Infrastructure

Location: Waterloo, IA

Contract Duration: 36+ Months

Role Summary:

The Technical Support Specialist I will deliver onsite assistance at the designated location, executing the following responsibilities:

  • Provide direct deskside support to users.
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with computing and networking principles.
  • Proficient in standard desktop applications, including Microsoft Office, as well as internet and intranet functionalities.
  • Understanding of computer security protocols and a broad knowledge of security concepts.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of IT experience; however, recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Additional Information:
  • This position operates on the first shift (7 am to 3:30 pm) and requires onsite presence.
  • Participation in a weekend on-call rotation is expected.
  • Overtime opportunities may be available.
  • Metatarsal safety footwear is mandatory from the first day.
  • Occasional travel between local sites using a personal vehicle may be necessary.
  • After completing training, candidates may operate a client vehicle within the facility.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • The hiring manager prefers candidates who reside nearby.
Educational Background:
  • A degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
