Electronic Park Brake Firmware Integration Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic Park Brake (EPB) Firmware Integration Specialist to join our engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end integration of EPB systems into various vehicle platforms.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the EPB systems meet all performance, safety, and regulatory standards, enhancing overall vehicle safety and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integration of EPB systems into vehicle platforms, ensuring seamless interaction with other braking and electronic systems.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams to integrate EPB hardware and software components efficiently.
  • Design and develop EPB motor actuation and clamping systems.
  • Develop and fine-tune calibration parameters to optimize EPB performance, including actuation force, response time, and user comfort.
  • Conduct in-depth calibration of system settings to ensure reliable performance across various vehicle models and operating conditions.
  • Participate in functional safety and failure avoidance analysis of complex electrical and software vehicle subsystems.
  • Design and implement comprehensive test plans for EPB systems, encompassing both laboratory and on-road testing scenarios.
  • Collaborate closely with vehicle dynamics, safety, and control systems teams to align EPB integration with overall vehicle performance objectives.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Embedded Systems.
  • Strong Electrical and Embedded Systems Engineering fundamentals.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering with a focus on chassis systems.
  • Proven experience in integrating and calibrating EPBs or similar automotive control systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with Vehicle Network Protocols such as CAN, LIN & Automotive Ethernet.
  • Proficiency in using calibration tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, CANalyzer).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Embedded Systems.
  • Proven technical expertise in Chassis Systems Design and controls strategies.
  • Proficiency in fundamentals of vehicle architecture, embedded systems design, RTOSes and real-time networking.
  • Experience in leading product development from concept to deployment.

Estimated Min Rate: $60.00

Estimated Max Rate: $80.00
