Job Description

Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst

Reports To: Manager Logistics/Customer Service

Summary: As a key member of the TDK Corporation of America team, the Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for ensuring seamless customer service, efficient inventory management, and effective logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Control inventory levels within assigned sales teams, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing stockouts or overstocking.
  • Logistics Coordination: Schedule deliveries from factories to desired delivery points, meeting customer commitments and minimizing delivery costs.
  • Order Processing: Process customer orders efficiently, ensuring accurate ordering of products, correct prices, and delivery dates.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner, working closely with marketing and factory teams.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze daily activity information, customer forecasts, and inventory status to determine proper course of action and make informed decisions.
  • Customer Communication: Respond to customer inquiries, provide technical assistance, and ensure timely communication of order status and delivery schedules.
  • Inventory Analysis: Conduct analysis of obsolete and slow-moving inventories, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Return and Credit Management: Administer customer returns, including credit to customers, disposition of products, and return of products to factories.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects, such as high-volume pricing, technical assistance, and quality issue resolution.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Supply Chain Experience: Strong Supply Chain/Customer Service background and/or experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Technical Skills: SAP knowledge a plus
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, yet as a team member, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Work Environment: This position requires the use of typical office equipment and most work is completed in an office environment.
