Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Global Channel Management. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting complex analytical chemistry evaluations and providing expert technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting Wet Chemistry Experiments: You will be responsible for performing a range of wet chemistry experiments, including titration, filtration, dilution, extraction, and gravimetric determinations.
  • Operating Advanced Laboratory Equipment: You will have experience with operating advanced laboratory equipment, including GC-FID, ICP, IC, SEM/EDS, and FTIR.
  • Providing Technical Support: You will provide expert technical support to our clients, including qualitative identification of materials, quantitative measurement of chemical composition, and general problem-solving skills.
  • Overseeing Laboratory Processes: You will have experience with overseeing high-volume laboratory processes with minimal supervision from senior technical staff.
  • Software Skills: You will have knowledge and experience with software for statistical evaluation, presentation, and report generation.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior laboratory experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills:
  • Good wet chemistry skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with GC-FID, ICP, IC, SEM/EDS, and FTIR.
  • Prior use of pH and specific ion electrode meters.
  • Strong chemical math skills.
  • PC savvy.
  • Quality control tech.
  • Expertise with microscopy, spectroscopy, chromatography, and x-ray related techniques.
  • Qualitative identification of materials, quantitative measure of chemical composition, and general problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with oversight of high-volume lab processes with minimal supervision from senior technical staff.
  • Knowledge and experience with software for statistical evaluation, presentation, and report generation.
