Job Title: Patient Transporter

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transporter to join our team at University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

The Patient Transporter will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from nursing units and various therapy/laboratory areas throughout the University Hospital and the American Family Children's Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service while transporting patients.
  • Ensure timely transportation and patient safety, comfort, and privacy.
  • Utilize the Patient Transport information system to acquire and record transactional records.
  • Document transport information on daily log sheets and obtain signatures from clinical staff.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant patient care experience in a healthcare environment.
  • CPR certification or the ability to receive certification within 60 days of hire.
