Senior Credit Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Risk Manager to join our team at Barclays. As a key member of our Financial Institutions Credit team, you will be responsible for providing effective credit risk management within North American Financial Institutions, focusing on municipals and insurance.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and Approve/Decline Credit Applications: Evaluate creditworthiness, analyze financial information, and recommend credit terms and conditions to ensure responsible lending practices.
- Monitor Performance and Identify Risks: Analyze lending applications, financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess borrower creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
- Evaluate Risk Profile: Consider factors like industry trends, borrower financials, collateral, and market conditions to provide independent credit decisions.
- Develop and Implement Credit Strategies: Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives, and develop innovative solutions to define problems.
- Advise Key Stakeholders: Provide guidance to functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
- Manage and Mitigate Risks: Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
- Demonstrate Comprehensive Understanding: Show a thorough understanding of the organization's functions to contribute to achieving business goals.
- Collaborate with Other Areas: Work with other areas of the business to keep up to speed with business activity and strategies.
- Create Solutions: Develop solutions based on in-depth analysis and interpretative thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives.
- Risk and Controls: Strong understanding of risk and controls, including credit risk management and regulatory requirements.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated business acumen, including financial analysis and creditworthiness evaluation.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Digital and Technology: Familiarity with digital and technology tools and platforms, including credit risk management systems.
The minimum salary for this role is $150,000, and the maximum salary is $200,000. This includes only base salary or base hourly rate and does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
