Deutsche Bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Officer to join our team in New York. As a key member of our Credit Risk Management team, you will be responsible for managing our counterparty credit risk to US hedge fund and private equity clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake initial credit due diligence for new clients, including meetings with fund managers to understand their investment process and risk management approach.
- Review and approve transaction requests for private equity funds, including Foreign Exchange (FX) hedging and deal contingent trades.
- Play a key role in the legal documentation process to ensure that appropriate credit covenants are included in legal agreements.
- Ongoing dialogue and due diligence with clients, including preparation of annual credit reviews and written reports.
- Manage risk and exposures within your portfolio on an ongoing basis, using credit risk management and product monitoring systems.
- Degree-level education or equivalent, with extensive industry experience in managing hedge fund credit risk.
- Knowledge of alternative funds sector, including an understanding of a broad range of investment strategies and their associated risks.
- Product knowledge covering all major derivative instruments and Prime Brokerage products/services.
- Understanding of master trading documentation, including ISDA, GMRA, F&O, and Prime Brokerage.
- Deep knowledge of financial markets and hedge fund industry, with strong familiarity of key market participants.
