About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer and Project Coordinator to join our team at HDR. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will apply various design, engineering, and modeling techniques to develop transportation and water resource projects for local municipalities, state, and federal clients.

Responsibilities include working independently on small projects or assisting senior engineers on larger projects, conducting site studies, designing contract documentation, and preparing civil design drawings with BIM/CADD platforms for construction documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply advanced hydraulic and hydrologic modeling techniques to develop project designs and evaluate system performance.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and construction plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Evaluate floodplain impacts and compensation, assess water quality, and perform bridge hydraulic and scour evaluations.
  • Support infrastructure construction phase implementation and prepare reports on project progress.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Transportation, or Structural Engineering, or a related field, and EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 12 months.

You should also possess proficiency in MicroStation/AutoCAD, experience with Civil 3D, StormCAD, and Open Roads Designer, and excellent communication skills.

The expected salary range for this position is $61,019 - $94,750, varying by location. In California, you can expect a salary between $61,019 and $94,750, while in Colorado, it's between $53,060 and $83,380. The salary in Montana ranges from $47,754 to $68,220, Ohio from $53,019 to $83,380, and Washington State from $50,407 to $87,170.
