Water Modeling and Planning Specialist

About the Role:
This exciting opportunity offers a unique blend of technical expertise, project management, and business development skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and executing technical components of water industry projects, collaborating with regional teams on marketing and business development, participating in industry events, and contributing to the growth of our national resource team.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work on various projects related to water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, water supply and integrated master planning, asset management, and conveyance systems. Key tasks will include:
- Project Execution:
- Support conceptual planning studies as a Project Engineer.
- Execute workload efficiently to maintain project schedule and financials.
- Produce high-quality work products consistently.
- Develop materials for client workshops and present when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with WI-MAP staff across different locations.
- Coordinate with regional team client service managers and project managers.
- Collaborate with Water Design Center personnel during design phases of projects.
- Business Development Support:
- Participate in business development activities, including client-specific presentations.
- Support proposal development efforts.
- Contribute to scope, fee, and contract development services.
- Engage in professional organization activities, including committees and conferences.
Key Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong technical background in water/wastewater engineering and civil engineering, commensurate with your experience level. Essential qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or ability to become registered within six months of start of employment.
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulics.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS.
- Excellent communication skills.
Salary:
