We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Inspection Specialist to join our team at Corning Incorporated. As an Optical Inspection Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and measurements of manufactured parts, interpreting engineering drawings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality-related concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections and measurements of manufactured parts using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
- Interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances to determine inspection requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related concerns and implement corrective actions
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock
- Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
- High School Diploma or GED
- One to three years in optical mechanical inspection experience desired
- Experience in handling precision components
- Basic blueprint reading and comprehension
- Computer fluency to include Windows 95, Office 95, and basic DOS
This position requires occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs and exposure to alcohol and acetone used for cleaning. This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly rate for this position is $18.15 - $21.08. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
