Position Overview:
The Tax Compliance Specialist will play a crucial role in overseeing the organization's tax reporting and adherence to regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will possess extensive expertise in tax legislation and accounting practices, ensuring precise and timely submission of federal, state, and local tax filings.

This position also entails the preparation of tax provisions and assisting with external audits.

Primary Duties:
1. Prepare and submit federal, state, and local tax returns in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations.

2. Manage the tax provision process, including the calculation of tax provisions and the upkeep of deferred tax assets and liabilities.

3. Analyze financial statements and reconcile tax accounts to guarantee accurate tax reporting.

4. Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and regulations, evaluating their implications for the organization.

5. Prepare and maintain documentation for tax positions taken on returns, including supporting work papers.

6. Provide assistance during tax audits, including the collection of information and responses to inquiries from tax authorities.

7. Aid in the development and execution of tax planning strategies aimed at minimizing tax liabilities.

8. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment and compliance with tax-related issues.

9. Maintain precise records and documentation for all tax-related activities and submissions.

10. Support special projects as directed by the Finance Director or Accounting Manager.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or MST is preferred.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a solid grasp of tax compliance and reporting.

- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH, OneSource) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.

- Capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Experience in international tax and transfer pricing is advantageous.
