About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at IPEX Group of Companies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Maintain a safe and clean work environment through training, adherence to policies, and housekeeping.
  • Inspect and maintain mechanical systems, equipment, and operating systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Resolve issues with motors, pumps, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as per established standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment daily.
  • Align with company and customer regulations and policies.
  • Bring and maintain tools for the job.
  • Work all shifts flexibly when job demands.
Requirements
  • KNOWLEDGE
  • Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Advanced knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair of buildings or other structures.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures, including lock-out tag-out processes, fall protection, hot work, PPE usage, and forklifts.
  • SKILLS
  • Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
  • Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
  • Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Desired Experience
  • Mechanical experience, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, lubrication, and viscosity.
  • Troubleshooting experience.
  • Measuring devices experience.
  • Basic ability to read technical documentation.
  • Blueprint, schematic, wiring diagram, hand and power tools, forklift, basic rigging, basic electrical, troubleshooting, basic welding, MIG/GMAW, Stick/SMAW, manufacturing safety, and building construction experience.
