Job Title: Clinical RDN

Adventist Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical RDN to join our team in Bakersfield, California.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nutritional care to patients and residents identified with special needs and/or those who meet nutritional risk criteria. This includes patient assessment and reassessment, patient and family education, interdisciplinary communication, nutritional plan of care development, and documentation of all interventions in accordance with policy and acceptable practice standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive initial nutritional assessments and ongoing reassessments of patients' nutritional conditions and stability.
  • Develop and implement effective nutritional plans of care, including meal patterns, monitoring of nutritional intake, and initiation of appropriate interventions.
  • Provide nutritional education to patients, families, and healthcare team members, including dietetic interns, patients, family members, and community.
  • Act as an educational resource for healthcare team personnel, including dietetic interns, patients, family members, and community.
  • Supervise indirect data collection of assigned personnel and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent: Required
  • Master's Degree: Preferred
  • Experience as a Clinical Dietitian: Preferred
  • Dietetic internship or its equivalent: Preferred
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) within 6 months of completion of residency program: Required
