Job Title: Patient Care Director

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at the Miami Cancer Institute at Baptist Health. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to complex acutely ill patients.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients

- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and H&Ps

- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests as needed

- Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and educate patients and families on diagnosis and care

- Work with physicians, staff, and administration to ensure high-quality care across the health system

- Participate in research initiatives, data collection, quality improvement, and discharge planning

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes, length of stay, and satisfaction

Qualifications:

- Oncology experience is required

- APRNs must have a Master's Degree, valid Florida APRN License, Nurse Practitioner National certification, DEA License, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, and 5 years of relevant nursing experience

- PAs must have an Associated Degree (Master's Degree preferred), valid Florida PA License, NCCPA Certification, DEA License, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, and 1 year of experience

Work Environment:

- Per Diem schedule

- Plantation location
