Job Overview

The Director of Hospitality is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Hotel, Casino, Housekeeping, and Banquets and Food & Beverage departments at the Property. This includes directing and overseeing the development of departmental procedures, policies, and controls to ensure exceptional guest service and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional guest service standards by all Associates assigned to the Hospitality division, monitoring leadership staff to ensure they meet and exceed expectations.
  • Maintain the Casino facilities, rooms, entrances, amenities, and services to meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Drive the Property's business by promoting the Casino and Hotel facilities and services, maximizing profits by achieving optimal occupancy rates and best rates for all rooms sold.
  • Promote total guest satisfaction by addressing complaints, answering inquiries, and resolving problems.
  • Establish, schedule, and conduct preventative and required maintenance and upgrades on all facilities and associated systems.
  • Develop staffing schedules to ensure highest service levels with maximum productivity.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports, emphasizing success or failure in achieving stated goals and advancing professional development.
  • Approve daily purchases of materials and supplies and other expenses within assigned authority.
  • Develop budgets and monitor status to budget monthly, training management on interpreting financial results.
  • Act as liaison between the property and third-party vendors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Casino/Resort Management, or related field, with five years' experience in a Management level position.
  • Seven years of previous experience in executive management of a hotel and destination resort, overseeing hotel operations, including front desk and hotel housekeeping.
  • Five years of experience managing multiple shift, food and beverage outlets, specifically Banquet or Convention Services.
  • Previous experience working with third-party companies.
  • Previous hotel experience associated with a four-diamond (or equivalent) rating or higher.
  • Previous hotel experience associated with a gaming environment.
  • Successful completion of Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service and TIPS training, and ServeSafe Sanitation training, after hire.
  • Ability to maneuver in all areas of assigned outlets, including all food and beverage service areas.
  • Willingness to work odd and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
  • Tribal Gaming License (or ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position.
  • Ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment.
