Job Summary

The Warehouse Team Member plays a vital role in our team environment, serving the needs of our cooperative members. This position is responsible for receiving and processing in-bound and out-bound shipments of inventory for our warehouse location. The successful candidate will investigate and report any discrepancies to the appropriate leader/vendor/customer. They will follow our organization's policies, procedures, and practices for inventory receiving, storage, and shipping. Additionally, they will provide backup and support for the Service Center Supervisor for location operations and customer needs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Accurately load and secure out-bound shipments of freight.
  2. Unload and check the accuracy of in-bound freight, store materials according to our procedures.
  3. Prepare paperwork for out-bound freight shipments, including bills of lading, and file paperwork properly.
  4. Collaborate and communicate closely with the Service Center Supervisor and Area Marketing Manager regarding orders and materials to be shipped and received.
  5. Assist the Service Center Supervisor with office procedures as needed, including taking customer calls, processing orders, and checking inventory.
  6. Work hours as required by business necessity, such as emergency situations or as instructed by the Service Center Supervisor or Area Marketing Manager.
  7. Attend required meetings or training sessions as instructed by the leadership team.
Job Qualification Requirements
  1. 1 year of warehouse experience required.
  2. Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to handle and resolve customer inquiries or issues.
  3. Forklift license required or ability to acquire and maintain license.
  4. Computer experience using Microsoft applications required, experience with an ERP system preferred.
  5. 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
  6. Ability to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
  7. Ability to travel when required (more than 10%).
  8. Valid driver's license required, as well as the ability to acquire a medical card to drive company vehicles for deliveries.
