Job Summary:

Clinicians at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland will provide counseling using applied psychotherapeutic techniques to individuals, families, or groups to achieve more adequate, satisfying, and productive individual and/or family adjustments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Master's degree in clinical social work or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Licensed (or licensed eligible) by the Board of Behavioral Science in California
  • Experience working with children and families from culturally diverse populations
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary setting with a diverse group of professionals and support staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure
Requirements:
  • Normal and atypical child development knowledge
  • Ability to work independently, organize tasks, problem-solve, make decisions, and handle multiple priorities
  • Interpersonal skills to interact well with coworkers and client families in varied settings
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds
