Job Summary

The Director of Business Development plays a critical role in driving the growth and success of Gulfport Behavioral Health System, a 90-bed psychiatric hospital offering comprehensive behavioral health programs and treatment services. This key leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing business development strategies to expand the hospital's market share, increase revenue, and enhance its reputation as a leading provider of mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to drive growth and revenue expansion
  • Collaborate with senior management to design and implement business development strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain a schedule of primary accounts, including business, industry, EAPs, managed care clients, physicians, and allied health professionals
  • Develop and maintain key business development accounts and respond to all business development opportunities
  • Prepare annual reports and budgeting reports for the facility
  • Develop and implement community workshops and seminars to promote the hospital's services and expertise
  • Direct and coordinate all media relations functions to enhance the hospital's reputation and visibility
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience in a healthcare business development management position. The candidate should have a proven track record of driving business growth and revenue expansion, with a strong understanding of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles.
