Job Summary

This part-time instructor position is available in the Physics Department at Linn-Benton Community College. The successful candidate will teach physics courses, develop course materials, and engage with students of various backgrounds and ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver lectures, laboratory activities, and out-of-class assignments in accordance with approved course outlines.
  • Plan and implement engaging laboratory exercises for non-science majors.
  • Practice and enforce departmental safety regulations in the lab room.
  • Keep track of equipment and maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and supervisors.
Requirements
  • Masters degree or minimum of 27 graduate quarter hours in physics.
  • Ability to work respectfully with individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities.
  • Preferred: One year of broad-based teaching experience in a high school, community college, or university setting.
