Role Summary:

The Security Manager is responsible for advising personnel on government security protocols and ensuring that minimum physical security standards are upheld across operational facilities. This role involves evaluating security implications for new initiatives and managing security activities at off-site locations. The position encompasses responsibilities as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) and a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist staff in completing security clearance documentation via the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) system to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate personnel security clearance processes with the Defense Security Service.
  • Manage additional security requirements, including Polygraphs and National Agency Checks.
  • Oversee SCI personnel security clearance requirements in accordance with contract specifications.
  • Act as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for systems handling classified information.
  • Develop and maintain Automated Information System Security Plans (AISSP) to ensure adherence to operational standards.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of all cleared personnel.
  • Manage personnel security files for all cleared employees.
  • Process Visit Requests for classified interactions.
  • Establish and oversee the operations of the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
  • Respond to alarm activations as the primary contact for the headquarters facility.
  • Ensure accountability for all classified documents entering or leaving the facility.
  • Provide courier authorizations and briefings as necessary.
  • Prepare DD Forms 254 for subcontractors and interpret requirements for contract efforts.
  • Issue Security ID badges as required.
  • Prepare reports and notifications for relevant government agencies as mandated.
  • Keep senior management informed of security vulnerabilities or potential issues.
  • Coordinate security requirements with government agencies and collaborate with their security personnel.
  • Oversee off-site facilities to ensure compliance with security regulations.
  • As FSO, manage compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and contractual obligations.
  • As CSSO, ensure adherence to the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Program.
  • Supervise supporting staff and manage their overall direction and evaluation.
  • Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in any field.
  • 10+ years of experience in government contracting and security-related roles.
  • Top Secret clearance required with eligibility for SCI access.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of NISPOM and SCI Administrative Security Manual.
  • Familiarity with Automated Information System Processing for collateral and SCI systems.
  • Hands-on experience managing secure facilities through the Defense Security Service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and SharePoint.
