Job Title: Community Health Educator

Location: Manatee County, FL

Job Type: Full-Time (Hourly)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Health Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing health education programs, events, and activities to promote healthy lifestyles, policies, and decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health education programs and materials for the general public.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders, government agencies, and non-profit organizations to promote health education and outreach.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify community needs and develop targeted health education programs.
  • Provide leadership, technical assistance, and guidance on evidence-based strategies to promote healthy lifestyles and policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote health education and outreach.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, public administration, healthcare, or related field.
  • Two (2) or more years of job-related experience.
  • Valid driver's license required, with a valid Florida driver's license required within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with substance use disorder prevention and response, crisis intervention, mental health first aid, compassion fatigue, clinical settings, public health, emergency response, or case management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and computer systems and software applications required to perform job duties.
