  • Conduct daily inspections of the premises and waste management systems to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Sort and categorize waste materials, including hazardous substances, for proper disposal.
  • Manage hazardous spills using appropriate tools and dispose of waste in alignment with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
  • Alert supervisors or management regarding significant hazardous or environmental concerns as they arise.
  • Monitor and mentor team members on the proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.
  • Utilize and instruct others on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Restock and maintain supply cabinets to ensure availability of necessary materials.
  • Ensure the upkeep of exterior safety installations such as eye-wash stations, sinks, and technician work areas.
  • Safely handle a variety of cleaning agents and chemicals.
  • Perform various safety and maintenance tasks, collaborating with contracted services when required.
  • Clear debris from trenches, stalls, and other designated areas.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently with minimal oversight.
  • Wash floors in service areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and solutions.
  • Coordinate daily work plans with supervisors to determine daily objectives.
  • Adhere to all state and federal OSHA regulations and comply with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) requirements.
  • Consistently follow all company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and established industry practices.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of waste receptacles throughout the facility.
