About the Role:

As a District Sales Representative for AgReliant Genetics, you will be responsible for representing AgriGold Hybrids in the sale and distribution of its seed products to farmers and dealers in an assigned territory. Your primary goal will be to achieve maximum sales and increase market penetration of the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a business plan to achieve or surpass sales goals.
  • Foster relationships with new and existing customers, promoting the brand image and marketing programs.
  • Utilize digital tools and resources to drive sales and maintain fiscal responsibility within assigned budget.
  • Collaborate with Sales Agronomist to develop and implement a hybrid and variety research and testing plan within the assigned district.
  • Provide regular updates to the Area Business Manager on major market developments affecting sales and personnel.
  • Submit reports and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Address product problems in the territory and handle routine issues.
  • Attend and participate in Regional Sales Meetings and other Company functions.
  • Project a positive image of AgriGold Hybrids and AgReliant Genetics, adhering to the Company's Core Values.
  • Maintain the appearance of Company vehicle and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of three years of professional sales/account management experience or one or more years of sales experience in agriculture.
  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of the seed industry.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Good time management skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work required hours and travel as necessary.
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, meet AgReliant's MVR requirements, and maintain CMV requirements.
  • Some overnight travel required.
