Behavior Specialist

Milestones Behavioral Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Behavior Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Behavior Specialist, you will work closely with our Special Education Teacher and Behavior Analyst to apply the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities or other educational needs.
With over 25 years of experience in ABA, our organization has developed a unique approach that blends highly customized instructional strategies with extensive expertise in educating individuals with autism. Job Responsibilities
- Provide physical care for younger children up to 6 years old, with or without assistance from designated persons.
- Perform heavy to very heavy physical demands associated with "hand on" efforts when managing students under routine, emergency, and aggressive behavior management scenarios.
- Implement emergency procedures (PMT) independently or as part of a team effort.
- Utilize good organizational, multitasking, and communication skills (oral and written).
- Follow all safety procedures and requirements.
- Attend in-person, on-site.
- Undergo thorough background checks.
Requirements
- Experience in implementing behavioral assessment/treatment programs with a developmentally disabled population.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and applicable software proficiency with email communication.
