Construction Inspector

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team at PRIME AE Group. As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and inspecting infrastructure construction projects, leading to a Construction Manager role within our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and understand engineering construction contracts, plans, and specifications.
- Perform earthwork, concrete, structural, mechanical, process drainage, asphalt, water, sewer, utility, and materials inspections on construction projects.
- Support project activities by performing calculations, measurements, documentation, and other technical and engineering-related functions.
- Review and coordinate verification or acceptance testing of construction materials in the field or at the laboratory.
- Coordinate construction management and inspection services provided by project subconsultants.
- Prepare, organize, lead, and document construction meetings with contractors and clients.
- Correspond with project staff and clients.
- Manage and assist with construction progress payment, RFI, and submittal reviews.
- Organize, conduct, and document construction coordination meetings.
- Assist with managing and tracking construction documents and submittals.
- Experience with electronic and web-based construction documentation systems.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction inspection or construction material testing.
- A valid driver's license.
- Basic understanding of construction specifications and processes.
- Other certifications such as INDOT/KYTC, NICET, Asphalt, and American Concrete Institute (ACI) concrete field testing, etc. will be considered.
