CALL ON BUILDING CONTRACTORS. YOU SHOULD HAVE FROM 1 TO 8 YEARS OF FIELD SERVICE, CUSTOMER SERVICE, OR CUSTOMER RELATIONS EXPERIENCE IN A TECHNICAL / MECHANICAL ENVIRONMENT ALONG WITH SOME SALES APTITUDE.
THE MORE TECHNICAL YOUR BACKGROUND, THE BETTER THE FIT. THIS JOB IS MORE ORIENTED TO USING MECHANICAL SKILLS THAN ELECTRICAL OR ELECTRONIC SKILLS.
A MECHANICAL REPAIR PERSON WHO COMMUNICATES WELL WITH CUSTOMERS IS IDEAL.
EARNINGS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE, POTENTIALLY MID SEVENTIES.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
For the right candidate interested in a technical service / operations, sales, or management career, this is an ideal opportunity.
The opportunity should be especially attractive to candidates out of university or college for just a few years. It is also suitable for people with more experience in a mechanical or technical area.
If you are hired by our client, you will receive full training, you will be joining a national company with a "promote from within philosophy", and, as noted, you will receive a very satisfactory compensation package with a good base salary, plus commission and bonus.
You will be provided a vehicle with all expenses covered.
Knowledge of construction and tools will be an asset. Any background in construction / repair / maintenance / working with equipment (as on a farm or working on a vehicle) that underscores technical aptitude is desirable.
This is not an office / retail type of sales environment. You will need to meet contractors and do demos on flat low level, industrial building roofs accessed by stairs. You will not be expected to do any construction or repair work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service current clients and create new ones.
On a regular basis, visit construction sites or do demos (pull tests) on low level industrial building roofs with contractors.
Make repair or upgrade recommendations based on the company’s offered products.
Be on the road every day and follow through with scheduled appointments.
Work out of a Ford F-150 truck and with whatever small office type setting you’ll have at home.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in any field but a business or arts background is preferred.
Outgoing, friendly and motivated to work in a technical / field service role.
One to eight years of Field Service, Customer Service or Customer Relations in a Technical / Mechanical environment.
Exposure to construction work and knowledge of tools is a plus.
Any type of construction, contractor, building materials or roofing background can be a plus, but it’s not necessary (training is provided).
A service / hands-on / technical background will be very helpful.
Must have an excellent driving record.
Able to travel to Headquarters in Massachusetts, if required, for 2 weeks of training / orientation (expenses covered).
COMPENSATION:
Base salary plus commission plus bonus should yield income into the mid seventies. A company vehicle is provided and all related expenses are covered.
Base salary is commensurate with experience.
Earnings provide a comfortable living.
$200 cell phone allowance per month.
