Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Millwright A to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in HVAC and instrumentation, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service all refrigeration equipment in the plant and warehouse, including rooftop HVAC units, split systems, process chillers, dehumidifiers, ice machines, window units, refrigerators, evaporators, and condensers.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, including replacing compressors, expansion valves, filters, dryers, refrigerant, oil, condenser fans, evaporator fans, and electrical control components.
  • Maintain plant instrumentation, including pneumatic, electronic, and analytical equipment, and calibrate instruments as needed.
  • Work from prints or sketches, take down field measurements, and produce output on various jobs with quality workmanship.
  • Install, dismantle, and assemble plant machines and equipment, including compressors, vacuum pumps, pumps, gear reduction drives, and electrical work.
  • Determine proper tolerances and fits on shafts, bushings, keys, bearings, and use measuring instruments to give lifts, tolerances, or alignments of equipment.
  • Pack stuffing glands in the plant with proper packing and fabricate and erect ordinary structures or equipment from structural steel as required.
  • Do ordinary pipefitting, repairs to pipelines, replace, and repair defective valves, and assist the supervisor with spare parts inventory levels.
  • Maintain the shop and plant to be clean and orderly and free from safety hazards.

Requirements:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent work experience. 5 years related experience. Journeymen's Credential preferred (not required). Must successfully complete any required regulatory training and forklift training. Additional training may be required.
