Position Overview

This role involves a hybrid work environment, contributing to the financial operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

The Plant Accountant plays a crucial role in providing precise and timely financial information to the organization and its stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making processes.

  • Manage plant accounting and financial reporting.
  • Conduct various reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, inventory, and prepaid expenses.
  • Reconcile and analyze barrel inventory.
  • Oversee physical inventory and cycle-count programs to ensure data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and warehouse teams to ensure all financial transactions and reports are accurate and timely.
  • Confirm monthly data reconciliation to establish a single source of truth.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and ad hoc analyses.
  • Work with FP&A and other departments to evaluate performance drivers.

Additionally, you will review plant expenditures and activities regularly to support leadership in making data-driven decisions.


Reporting Systems

Ensure that financial reporting systems effectively collect, aggregate, and present data accurately.

Collaboration

Partner with IT and FP&A to document and validate expense allocations within ERP and reporting systems.

Audit Support

Assist corporate accounting with internal and external financial and operational audits.

Financial Controls

Maintain financial controls within the plant and engage in accounting projects and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and other web-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and financial data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Distilled Spirits industry.
  • Background in manufacturing.

Physical Requirements

While performing job duties, the employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, use hands and fingers for handling objects, and utilize a computer. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
