Patient Service Representative DMC Sports Medicine Dearborn

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at Staff VHS Physicians of Michigan. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front Office Operations: Greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow.
- Patient Registration: Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and other necessary data.
- Charge Entry and Posting: Accurately enter and post patient charges, co-pays, and other financial transactions.
- Referral Processing: Assist with referral processing, scheduling, and follow-up.
- Patient Communication: Distribute information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, and practice information.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the front office team.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office assistant program preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.
- Certifications: Healthcare management or administration certification preferred.
