We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer III to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our Reliability Engineering function, you will be responsible for participating in the planning, coordination, and performance of design and analysis of engineering data supporting the development and evolution of our reliability products.
Key Responsibilities- Reliability Database Management: Share responsibility for reviewing and maintaining our Reliability databases, including preparation and presentation to internal and external customers.
- Reliability Program Technical Recommendations: Offer reliability program technical recommendations on behalf of Gulfstream.
- New Aircraft Reliability Requirements: Develop and specify new aircraft reliability requirements in the associated Design Specification and Statement of Work (SOW) for new component(s)/system(s).
- Supplier Evaluation and Selection: Review supplier Request for Proposal responses for various aircraft component(s)/system(s) and assist in the supplier rating and selection process.
- Process Improvement: Act independently to develop own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives, and actively seek and work to implement improvements in daily processes.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor other team members concerning Reliability processes and procedures, and maintain a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Reliability or technical discipline required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated basic knowledge of statistical analysis techniques such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), System Safety Analysis (SSA), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), and Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals (MTBUR).
