Job Title: RS Aircraft Systems Coordinator A&P

Job Summary:

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RS Aircraft Systems Coordinator A&P to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the verification and performance of avionics, electrical, and mechanical aircraft systems in accordance with engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for checkout and testing of all aircraft systems, including outside flight operations, physical examination of aircraft components, and documentation.
  2. Attends PDR and Project Reviews for assigned aircraft, identifies new installations/components required, and initiates written plans to mitigate risk.
  3. Coordinates with ME or Test Engineering Specialist to ensure a formal test plan/checklist is in place to comply with company standards and specifications.
  4. Develops and promotes the use of written processes and procedures to ensure consistent interpretation of results and application of information.
  5. Responsible for assigned Critical Path milestones, such as checkout for cockpit or cabin, and drives/leads daily work tasks and maintains daily schedule status.
  6. Assigns team to work off-shifts as required to support the overall schedule and team.
  7. Ensures daily accountability of team, verifies progress by routinely inspecting work and corresponding drawings, and progressively bought-off.
  8. Improves work processes/performance to reduce quality defects, labor hours, and cycle time.
  9. Reviews and monitors open actions, such as discrepancies and drawings, and ensures resolution in a timely manner.
  10. Maintains ship status via log books, including R&I Log, Travelers, Test Specs, and CMP.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Performs outside operations, including engine run.
  2. Ensures individual training requirements of team members are maintained.
  3. Leads 5S program and related continuous improvement programs.
  4. In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.

Requirements:

  1. Daily communication with team members and support organization members to ensure concerns are addressed and barriers removed in support of the daily work plans.
  2. Daily engineering interface as it relates to technical issue resolution and the ability to influence support while maintaining a team-based environment.
  3. Must possess the people skills to address individual performance issues.
  4. Must be able to address and resolve sensitive personnel issues with the support of the HR department.
  5. Ensures safe work practices are followed inside and outside the aircraft, especially in flight preparation and recovery.
  6. Overtime may be required and is expected as necessary to meet overall expectations.
  7. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
