In this role, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging

  • Conduct thorough patient screenings prior to examinations, utilizing two identifiers to ensure accuracy in patient and procedure.
  • Effectively communicate and prepare patients for MRI procedures, detailing the process and positioning them appropriately.
  • Execute both routine and advanced MRI procedures on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating illnesses with minimal supervision.
  • Adjust MRI scanning parameters as necessary to optimize image quality.
  • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adhere strictly to physicians' directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Comply with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Keep equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Follow all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

(5%) MRI Department Support

  • Assist in updating imaging protocol manuals and implementing software upgrades.
  • Monitor and manage medical supply inventory, placing orders as needed.
  • Support the training of new staff by providing technical guidance and resources.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned to support the department's objectives.
