Key Responsibilities- Provide basic medical services, including evaluating and treating general medical and health needs of youth.
- Monitor quality improvement programs related to patient care.
- Collaborate with the Lead Nurse and Physician to ensure effective patient care.
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant in the State of Georgia.
- 2 years of previous experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for 1 year of experience in a correctional setting.
- Good organizational and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to relate well to patients, security staff, visitors, and co-workers.
- Functions within the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act (Nurse Practitioners) and Georgia Composite Medical Board Rules (Physician Assistants).
- Current Health Care Provider BCLS Certification, obtained through American Heart or Red Cross Program.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, with normal bending, reaching, stooping, standing, and sitting for long periods of time.
- Security Clearance by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice.
