Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Practitioner to join our team at Augusta University. As a Clinical Practitioner, you will provide basic medical services to meet the healthcare needs of youth in a correctional setting. This is a part-time position, working 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Lead Nurse and the clinical direction of the Physician, you will evaluate and treat the general medical and health needs of youth. You will also monitor CQI programs as they relate to patient care. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing basic medical services to meet the healthcare needs of youth
  • Evaluating and treating the general medical and health needs of youth
  • Monitoring CQI programs as they relate to patient care


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in healthcare, with a focus on ambulatory care. You will also need to be able to work under pressure, relate well to patients, security staff, visitors, and co-workers. Additionally, you will need to have current Health Care Provider BCLS Certification, obtained through American Heart or Red Cross Program. You will also need to be able to lift 50lbs and perform BCLS. Security Clearance by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice is also required.
