Position Summary:
The Electronic Technician plays a vital role in aligning the company's vision and strategies with operational tasks in the maintenance department. This position involves both scheduled and unscheduled repairs of equipment, systems, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with physical plant and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and facilities.
- Design and fabricate new equipment or modify existing machinery, including providing estimates, schematics, and necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate records for departmental information systems, including labor, inventory, and repair processes.
- Utilize power tools and equipment as required for maintenance tasks.
- Organize and maintain tools, supplies, and equipment in a safe and orderly manner.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and the development of setup and repair protocols.
- Provide technical specifications for the procurement of materials and parts for maintenance activities.
- Perform mechanical tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Possess knowledge of the NFPA 70e Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, with competencies verified through an audit.
- Adhere to Koozie Group's Environmental, Health, and Safety policies.
- Familiarity with AutoCad Electrical is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate the facility, including lifting up to 45 lbs. as needed.
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Capable of creating and modifying PLC programs.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical circuits and components.
- Perform all duties safely, using appropriate safety equipment and following established procedures.
- Foster effective working relationships with colleagues.
- Contribute to teamwork through active engagement.
- Complete related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: A minimum of a two-year technical degree in electronics or a related field, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing maintenance context is preferred.
Compensation: Hourly wage based on experience.
