Job Description:

We seek a Public Safety Representative to join our team. As the in-office representative, you will be responsible for answering calls for service, communicating with patrol staff, Facilities Management personnel, Residence Life, and other offices.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor alarms, access control, and video security systems.
  • Maintain basic records associated with daily shift activities.
  • Perform data entry of incident reports, parking records, and other department information.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Activate emergency procedures in case of an emergency situation.
  • Respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of events.
Requirements:

We require:

  • Experience as a public safety/911 or campus security dispatcher.
  • A high school diploma.
  • Ability to speak clearly and be understood via radio and phone communication.
  • Normal hearing due to heavy volume of telephone and radio communication.
Estimated Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
