Campus Housing Director

LeMoyne-Owen College seeks a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Campus Housing Manager. This is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Dean of Students.
Job Summary:The Campus Housing Manager is responsible for providing overall management and leadership in residential building(s). This includes staff supervision and development, residential education, community development, crisis management, administration and building management, student conduct, hall council advising, summer operations, and other departmental responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Staff Supervision and Development: Provide leadership, supervision, and development for the staff within their area, including selecting, training, and supervising Resident Advisors and Desk Receptionists.
- Residential Education: Create an environment where the educational potential of the residential environment can be realized, including planning and implementing educational, cultural, and academic activities.
- Community Development: Foster a sense of community in their building(s)/areas, including working with Resident Advisors to develop activities and using creative methods to connect with residents.
- Crisis Management: Manage and refer incidents that occur in their building(s)/areas, including participating in year-round duty rotation and working closely with the Counseling and Teaching Learning Centers.
- Administration and Building Management: Provide overall administrative operations within their building(s)/areas, including managing program budgets, coordinating damage accountability, and ensuring the proper management of keys.
- Student Conduct: Manage student conduct cases, including delivering and tracking sanctions, and referring cases to the college's student conduct system.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience working with diverse student groups, preferably in a college residence hall environment.

- Excellent data management skills, good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to handle, or feel to talk and to hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
