Position: PR Strategist

Objective: Become a key player in a dynamic environment where you will craft and execute cutting-edge public relations strategies aimed at enhancing Lola Red's brand image. As a PR Strategist, your role will be pivotal in shaping innovative PR initiatives tailored for the digital landscape, ensuring alignment with client goals while working closely with our Digital + Social teams for cohesive experiences. Your strategic vision will be essential for our PR achievements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PR Implementation (50%): Lead high-impact PR initiatives to keep our clients prominently featured.
  • Strategic Leadership (25%): Provide forward-thinking guidance to motivate and direct our teams.
  • Client Relations (15%): Build and maintain robust client partnerships for optimal satisfaction and success.
  • Business Development (10%): Innovate PR strategies to draw in new opportunities.

Core Duties:

Media Engagement:

  • Formulate and oversee effective PR strategies that distinguish clients in the marketplace.
  • Assist in drafting essential documents such as pitches, press releases, and talking points.
  • Collaborate with Digital + Social teams to amplify integrated campaign efforts.
  • Provide strategic insights for comprehensive campaigns that meet client objectives.
  • Leverage strong media connections to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Maintain a network of freelance media professionals.
  • Conduct media training sessions and interviews.
  • Stay informed on industry trends relevant to Lola Red and its clients.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Engage in departmental meetings to synchronize PR initiatives and evaluate success.
  • Educate the PR team on best practices in public relations.
  • Collaborate with account teams to meet objectives and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Mentor and support the PR team for their professional development.

Business Growth:

  • Work with the growth team to devise PR campaigns for prospective clients.
  • Prepare presentations and proposals for new business ventures.
  • Identify and pursue potential clients.
  • Research client sectors for insights and upselling opportunities.
  • Maintain client relationships through exceptional service and innovative ideas.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in public relations, particularly in media engagement.
  • 2+ years in an agency environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated leadership in team management.
  • Experience in client-facing roles with strong PR capabilities.
  • Understanding of the media landscape and earned media strategies.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
