Responsibilities:


We are currently seeking a Per Diem Urology Clinic RN to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced clinic environment.

As a Urology Clinic RN, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing professional nursing services focused on delivering quality patient care in accordance with established standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Engaging in direct patient care, including assessment, coordination, triage, evaluation, and delegation of tasks to the healthcare team.
  • Educating and consulting with patients, families, and staff to implement effective nursing interventions.
  • Utilizing critical thinking and judgment to address patient care needs and make informed decisions.

Work is performed under established safety and care standards, ensuring that patient needs are met effectively.



Essential Duties:


In this role, you will:

  • Deliver professional nursing care to clinic patients, performing diagnostic tests and clinical procedures as per your training and licensure.
  • Independently triage nursing situations according to established protocols and manage complex or urgent cases as needed.
  • Administer medications following provider orders and maintain accurate records of medication usage.
  • Document all procedures and patient interactions in the electronic medical record system, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, recording vital signs and relevant medical history while ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.

Cultural Sensitivity and Competence:
Demonstrate effective communication skills and an understanding of how cultural factors influence patient care and collaboration.
Patient Population Served:
Exhibit knowledge and skills relevant to the specific populations served by the department.
Qualifications:
Education/Work Experience:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program recognized by the Washington State Board of Nursing.

One year of nursing experience in a clinic setting or two years in acute care preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
Current Registered Nurse licensure in Washington State.

Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
