About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern-Credit/Lending Specialist to join our team at Farm Credit Foundations. As a key member of our lending team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the loan sales and origination process, working closely with various departments to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a comprehensive credit training program to develop a deep understanding of the lending process and the 5 Cs of credit.
  • Assist in the origination of new loans and servicing of existing loan portfolios, working closely with underwriting, lending, and other teams.
  • Attend customer visits and community events to build relationships and understand customer needs.
  • Complete a project that provides value to the organization, demonstrating your skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a four-year degree or enrolled in a graduate program, with a major emphasis in agriculture, data/analytics, technology, finance, business administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel and work in an office or outdoor setting.
