Job Overview

C-SPAN is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer - Corporate to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing first- to second-level engineering support for our operations team and editorial staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the operations team and editorial staff, addressing issues related to software, hardware, and network systems.
  • Manage corporate systems, including Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms, ensuring they are updated, secure, and perform optimally.
  • Oversee and manage corporate storage solutions and databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
  • Support and maintain corporate databases, ensuring their availability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to coordinate system upgrades, deployments, and other technical projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect corporate systems and data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in systems engineering or a similar role, with a strong Windows, Linux, and Mac systems background.
  • Proficiency in managing and supporting storage solutions and databases.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
