Overview:


The Concrete Placement Technician is responsible for the safe operation of the telebelt, facilitating the movement and placement of concrete and aggregate materials across various construction sites.

This role includes conducting daily inspections and performing maintenance on the equipment to ensure it remains in optimal working condition at all times.

The ideal candidate will also operate various heavy machinery to execute tasks such as fine grading, sloping, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating, and stockpiling.


Responsibilities:
Operate the telebelt machine to efficiently and safely transport and place concrete and aggregate materials.

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on the telebelt to maintain its functionality.

Promote telebelt services to potential clients, including construction companies and job sites, to create new business opportunities.

Recruit, train, and supervise personnel involved in telebelt operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures.

Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to schedule and coordinate the use of the telebelt for various projects.

Manage inventory of telebelt parts and supplies, overseeing procurement as necessary.

Operate heavy machinery of varying sizes and weights used in road, site, or highway construction and paving.

Ensure safe and effective operation of heavy equipment to minimize risks of injury, property damage, or loss of life.

Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.

Clean heavy equipment as required.

Maintain equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.

Utilize equipment to level roads and working areas, ensuring proper drainage and grading.

Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures, using appropriate tools and equipment.

Adhere to all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working practices.

Report any issues to the immediate supervisor.

Signal operators of construction equipment to assist with alignment, movement, and material handling.

Follow the direction of the Foreman regarding daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site.

May be required to operate small power tools such as jackhammers.

Excavate, spread, and level construction materials.

Lift, carry, and hold materials, tools, and supplies.

Maintain regular and predictable attendance at assigned times.

Perform other duties as assigned.

SAFETY:
Responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times, including the operation of tools, equipment, and machinery.

Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any unresolvable issues to the supervisor immediately.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience with telebelt maintenance, repair, and operations is required.

Considerable knowledge of equipment operations in construction and maintenance procedures.

Class A or B license required; no automatic restrictions preferred.

Working knowledge of grades and blueprints.

Skill in operating assigned equipment.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and establish effective working relationships with colleagues and the public.

Comply with company policies and procedures.

Perform the job safely with respect for others, property, and individual safety.

Pay range:
$36.00 per hour based on experience
