Job Overview
Gale Hotels seeks a highly skilled Security Supervisor to maintain a pro-active loss prevention program and ensure a safe environment for guests and employees. This role involves day-to-day operations of loss prevention, compliance with federal and local requirements, supervision of staff, and implementing safety training programs. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of guests, residents, team members, and hotel property.
  • Adequately secure all hotel/resident areas and property at all times.
  • Investigate theft or lost items, guest disturbances, employee injuries, and other complaints as required.
  • Coordinate emergency procedures and train security team members.
  • Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for Loss Prevention.
  • Train security staff in hotel procedures and guest service skills.
  • Maintain incident reports for General Liability incidents.
  • Train First Responders in injury and first aid related incidents.
  • Keep shift reports and logs up-to-date for daily incidents.
  • Manage keys for the hotel, assign, and make keys as needed.
  • Update key logs for all departments.
  • Maintain radio logs for all departments.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities, check banquet rooms, ballrooms, and guest rooms for proper use and safety conditions.
  • Monitor receiving areas to ensure authorized personnel use only.
  • Complete Incident Reports for injuries, theft, burglary, or other occurrences.
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports.
  • Handle emergency situations according to hotel emergency procedures.
  • Facilitate departmental and safety committee meetings.
  • Maintain an ongoing safety and security program.

Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years' experience in Supervisory Security role, preferably in a five-star luxury hotel.
  • Strong leadership skills, able to motivate others, strong organizational skills, excellent listening and problem-solving skills with diplomacy.
  • Exceptional organizational, communications, and guest relations skills required.
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and diplomacy while performing job functions.
  • Clear thinker, remain calm, and make sound judgment in threatening situations.
  • Full knowledge of worker's compensation and OSHA.
  • Full knowledge of fire safety and emergency procedures.
  • Current on the most up-to-date security technology.
  • CPR certification and First Aid Training required.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to give effective safety presentations.
  • Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, CCTV).
  • Available 24/7 for emergency situations involving the hotel.
