Job Summary:
As a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Kaiser Permanente, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Under general supervision, you will use your clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform accurate multi-system assessments, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
• Identify deviations from normal on routine lab diagnostic tests.
• Reassess patient throughout hospitalization.
• Develop an individual nursing plan of care that is sensitive to the developmental needs of the patient.
• Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments and community agencies.

Requirements:
• Minimum one year of in Labor and Delivery experience in the last three years.
• Nine months of RN experience in the last twelve months.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License (Washington) within three months of hire or Compact License: Registered Nurse within three months of hire.
• Registered Nurse License (Oregon) within three months of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program required at hire.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous health care experience.
• Minimum three plus years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery is preferred.
• Minimum one year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years.
• Bachelors degree in nursing or related field.
