Job Summary

The Archdiocese of Seattle seeks a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of its facilities. This is a critical role that requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all maintenance and repair activities for the facilities, including scheduling, budgeting, and vendor management.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan to ensure the facilities are well-maintained and meet the needs of the organization.
  • Supervise and train staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that facilities-related issues are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and vendor contracts.
  • Develop and implement a safety program to ensure a safe working environment for staff and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as facilities management, engineering, or business administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities management, with a strong background in maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
